Our Approach

Nina Gordon is committed to creating classic and enduring quality goods.

We are dedicated to originality, invitation, optimism, sustainability, and accessibility. Since our conception, these core values have resonated across all aspects of our business.

We passionately believe in a modern approach that is thoughtful, sustainable, inclusive and accessible.

Materials

We prioritise using recycled metals, biodegradable materials and minimising waste.

Certified Recycled Metals

  • Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) Certified Recycled Silver & Gold
  • Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) Recycled Brass

14k Gold

Produced in RJC-certified recycled gold. Known for its natural colour and enduring qualities. We use 14k Vermeil that complies with US standards and up to 5x thicker gold plate. With an added +2% cost of using certified recycled metals, this represents our commitment to circularity and longevity in all its forms.

Our gold-plated pieces have the same thickness of gold overlay as our Vermeil styles for durability.

Sterling Silver

Produced in RJC-certified recycled sterling silver. Each branding industry standard 925 hallmarks to ensure purity and quality. A timeless metal resource that transcends season to season. Hypoallergenic, nickel-free and enduring qualities that can be cared back to new.

Pearls

We work intently with partners who are traceable and ethically sourced. Through this process, we are choosing innately better quality baroque pearls. Each is one-of-a-kind and perfectly imperfect. With natural variations in forms and shapes, all are hand-drilled to ensure consistency and quality.

Gemstones

We only use gemstones that are 100% lifecycle retraceable. Our partners are focused on sustainably sourcing each back to the origin, only selecting the best quality stones. Each perfectly cut by machine and individually set by skilled artisans.

Packaging

Our packaging is created to be reusable. We utilise FSC-certified paper, recycled cardboard, eco glues & biodegradable tape. Printing and promotional materials are created locally using recycled paper/ cardboard.

Manufacturing

We work closely with our primary manufacturer who employs an 80% female lead workforce across all management & manufacturing levels. They've implemented numerous strategies to enhance sustainability and promote inclusivity in the workplace.
